The Act to Incorporate the New Brunswick Real Estate Association foresaw the establishment of 4 local real estate boards across the province. These local Boards provide services to their members, the most important of which is management of the Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) operated by CREA and managed locally. REALTORS® are not obliged to belong to a local Board but must do so if they wish to avail themselves of the MLS® service. Local Boards operate independently from NBREA and have their own executive and Executive Officer. The President of the local Board or a delegate sits on the Board of Directors of NBREA.
