FOCUS GROUPS

Since our effort to modernize the Act began in January 2022, NBREA has sought — and received — a tremendous amount of valuable membership input. Input channels have included our membership-based advisory group overseeing this project, member surveys (see above to participate in the latest one!), meetings with local real estate boards, guidance from our Member Advisory Group through all stages of the project so far, a Member Forum at NBREA’s Annual General Meeting in 2023, a project update and member outreach launch at our AGM in 2024, and a full member presentation at our AGM in 2025.

In the summer of 2024, NBREA hosted six three-hour focus groups to capture membership input on the draft Act. In the summer of 2025, another round of five focus groups took place to capture membership input on the draft Bylaws.
