About the Office of the Registrar

New Brunswick has a co-regulatory model in overseeing the real estate sector.  The regulatory role is filled by the NBREA Office of the Registrar in conjunction with the Financial and Consumer Services Commission.

Have a Complaint?

Any person may file a complaint alleging professional misconduct or incompetence against a member of the New Brunswick Real Estate Association (NBREA). There is no fee to file a complaint but to be considered, your complaint must be submitted in writing by completing  the Complaint form with a signature.

Possible Outcomes

If the Discipline Committee determines that there has been professional misconduct or incompetence, it has the authority to impose discipline, including:

  • Suspension or revocation of membership in the NBREA
  • Fines up to $5,000
  • Recovery of costs associated with investigating and prosecuting the Complaint
